Nice! Great to beat out two MAC programs who have had the upper hand against us of late!

according to Rivals, Toledo withdrew its offer because he continued to take visits

Also, according to Rivals and 247 he's visiting Georgia State either today or tomorrow, so who knows how this will end up.

That's fine. Kids keep taking visits all the time after they've done a verbal commitment. This kid comes from a winning program, and was a top tier player for that team. I am very excited by this commit!

Also, he left ball state because of the coaching change and apparently the visit that Toledo didn't like was to Miami. All in all not a terrible situation.

Quote:
MAC Madness

Craziness on the recruiting trail wasnít just on the high major level. Hereís one instance in the Mid-American Conference.

Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek standout Ikeem Allen, who helped his team to a state title, committed to Ball State on June 14. He flipped to Toledo on Jan. 18. Miami (Ohio) kept working him all the while.

Toledo conducted an in-home visit two weeks ago. He surprised them at the time he was thinking about going to Miami (Ohio) indicating that he liked Miamiís jerseys as the reason. The whole time during this in-home visit Miami (Ohio)ís staff was circling the block waiting for Toledo to leave.

When they finally got into the home they were able to close Allen. He called Toledo, less than an hour after they left his home and told them ďIím taking my talents to Miami...of Ohio.Ē

The Redhawks still had to withstand a late visit to Georgia State, something they encourage Allen not to take, before ultimately inking the defensive lineman.

I love this part...circling the block! Laughing

I'm not a fan of anyone who says "I'm taking my talents to...."

Still hate those jerseys.....and any jersey that goes 0-12 should be destroyed and never worn again.

Yeah, I was wondering if those jerseys will be around next year, or there will be a change to try and bury the memory of last season and start fresh.

I concur with this assessment. As a college student, I love them, my roommates think they're awesome, and even my girlfriend loves them. During the oversized jersey free shirt giveaway halftime competition multiple people said they'd rather have the jersey.

I am older than anyone on this board (probably) and I like the uniforms-- although I could see a few tweaks making them even better.

Those things were horrid....only made worse by the helmets......a few tweaks might get them to tolerable.

As mentioned above, students and athletes like them. Good thing those are the two needed demographics.
